Introducing the Leaving Well Podcast: A Navigation Guide for Workplace Transitions

Coming on September 6, 2023, Leaving Well: A Navigation Guide for Workplace Transitions podcast will be live! Leaving well is the art and practice of leaving a job, role, project or title with intention, and when possible … joy.

In this podcast, you can expect to find conversations with experts on topics such as grief, leadership, confidence, career development, and more. We’ll talk with those who have experienced the necessary endings that come with jobs, projects, and roles. And we’ll come together to normalize the experience of change and our impact and legacy in the workplace.

I’m Naomi Hattaway, your host. After 16 moves - three of those being international moves - and several decades of career pivots through various leadership positions, I believe in the powerful impact of Leaving Well. I am a quintessential weaver and bridge-builder. I see through-lines of connectivity and impact between people, places, organizations, ideas, and movements. People know me as someone who brings gentle accountability, structure, and thoughtfully designed community-based solutions. I am often described as steady yet innovative, and it would be my honor and pleasure to step beside you as we learn more about Leaving Well, together. Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you’ll see my first episodes automatically downloaded on your podcast app beginning on September 6, 2023.

I've been told so many times, Naomi, you should have a podcast. Well, the time has come. Leaving Well, a navigation guide for workplace transitions, the podcast, will launch on September 6th, and I am very excited. Leaving Well is the art and practice of leaving a job, role, project, or title with intention and, when possible, joy.

The Leaving Well podcast will bring you stories and experiences of those who, in the past or currently, have lessons learned to share about the necessary endings that come with jobs, projects, and roles. We will also have guests on the show who bring a nuanced take on topics such as grief, confidence, leadership, career development, and more.

I'll interject solo episodes to share my best practices and Leaving Well framework that I use with my clients. And I'll also share some powerful resources, including my own book that will be published very, very soon on the topic of leaving well. The show will be full of truth telling, a little bit irreverent, and will always guarantee to bring you a nugget or an aha that I promise will enrich aspects of your life that may be a surprise.

In the meantime of the podcast launch, please check out my website, naomihattaway.com, where you'll find articles, more information about Leaving Well, a bookshop full of recommended books and ways to work with me. I hope you'll join me. Podcast episodes will release every Wednesday beginning September 6th and I cannot wait to share them with you.

Please do me a favor and share this trailer with a friend or two. Until then, I leave you with this quote from Virginia Woolf: “Arrange whatever pieces come your way.” I'm Naomi Hattaway , the host of the podcast, Leaving Well, a navigation guide for workplace transitions.
