Cheeseburger Pizza Roll recipe from eMeals
1 lb ground beef (we used italian sausage from Cacciatore & Sons in Tampa)
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt (we omitted the salt)
1 (11 oz) can refrigerated thin-crust pizza dough
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 C shredded Cheddar cheese
1 egg white, beaten
1/2 tsp steak seasoning
1 (24 oz) jar pasta sauce
Preheat oven to 350°. Cook beef (or sausage), adding onion powder and salt (if using), in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for 8 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble. Drain. Unroll dough on a lightly greased baking sheet; press into a large rectangle. Sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper. Top with cheese and beef.
Roll dough up lengthwise, and pinch ends to seal; place seam side down. Brush egg white over top of roll; sprinkle with steak seasoning. Bake 30 minutes or until golden; let stand 5 minutes.
Cut into slices. Heat desired amount of spaghetti sauce, and serve alongside pizza roll for dipping.
Some fun alternate uses for this recipe include adding your favorite pizza toppings inside with the ground meat. Imagine this same roll concept with my favorite, canadian bacon and pineapple? Yum. The possibilities are endless!
What’s your favorite pizza combination?
